Join Macquarie University's Accommodation Services team and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service and administrative support to our residential students. Your contributions will directly enhance the student residential experience, fostering a vibrant and supportive community.

Annual Salary: $75,000 per annum + 11.5% superannuation

Appointment Type: Full-time (38 hours/week), continuing

Location: Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and service-focused Customer Service Administrator to join our Accommodation Services team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional administrative and customer service support throughout the entire resident journey—from enquiry to departure. Your work will help to enhance the accommodation experience for students residing at Macquarie University's Central Courtyard.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of the resident journey - from initial enquires and room viewing bookings, orientation, rent collection, room inspections and contract enquires.
- Respond promptly to accommodation enquiries, ensuring all matters are addressed and resolved efficiently, escalating issues when necessary.
- Ensure that reception, office and communal areas are presented to the highest standard.
- Handle resident complaints and disputes with respect and care, escalating to the Accommodation Management Team as appropriate.
- Liaise with the Property team to raise and follow up on maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of improvements to administrative systems, processes, and procedures fostering a positive team culture.

Essential Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven background in administrative customer service roles, demonstrating effective and courteous communication with customer, both verbally and in writing.- Strong administrative and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage adhoc requests, and meet deadlines.- Experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders in accommodation or customer service settings.- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.- Capable of both responding to challenging situations and managing confidential information in an objective, professional, and considerate manner.- Proven ability to work effectively and supportively with colleagues and key stakeholders.
