**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
David Jones currently has a unique leadership opportunity within our Stores Leadership team for a Regional Manager. We are looking to bring in an experienced people leader to coach and inspire our Stores teams in Victoria. As a Regional Manager, you will engage and support your team by instilling a customer centric approach to sales, alongside a strategic outlook on maximising store profitability.

**_ What _**YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE**
- Maximise outcomes for David Jones customers by fostering a customer centric service culture by ensuring we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time
- Grow profitable sales within your business unit
- Identify opportunities to improve service and profitability, sales, performance, productivity, staff scheduling
- Support and build cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise their stores and the company’s performance
- Partner with stores and brands and maintain operational standards and support
- Ensure rostering, salary and expense budgets are adhered to
- Demonstrate leadership and oversee all operational functions across their team
- Ensure that the company and Retail Operations strategies are upheld across all stores
- Translate ideas into operational reality
- Foster a customer and service focused culture through their teams
- Support and enable the delivery of exceptional customer service
- Maintain and drive consistent operational standards across the network of stores
- Support and deliver continuity in presentation
- Support and enable the growth of profit and revenue generation
- Nurture and develop talented teams and a health succession plan
- Oversee the site development plans for any future store re-development projects

**_ What _**YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE**
- Have significant demonstrated experience within Retail, ideally with a department store or specialty fashion background at a State or National level
- Possess significant demonstrated experience managing high volume sales generation, with a customer service focused approach
- Have developed exceptional people management skills, with a focus on coaching and inspiring your teams
- Have developed effective leadership skills, managing multiple stakeholders, ideally in a multi-site location
- Possess strong financial and commercial acumen, utilising your experience in resource / sales forecasting, salary management and workforce modelling
- Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to influence and partner with key stakeholders across the organisation to achieve business outcomes
- Possess a customer comes first attitude, holding a professional stance and emotional intelligence
- Are able to act as an effective change agent supporting business initiatives
- Have a demonstrated ability to manage complex, time-dependent deliverables and work within a fast paced environment whilst balancing competing interests
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders, both internal and external
- Possess a strong retail acumen
