TOM Executive are currently supporting one of our leading Banking clients with the recruitment of a new Category Manager. Our client is a leader in the Banking sector and they are looking to bring in an experienced professional for this newly created role looking after the Professional Services category.
The day to day of the role will involve,
- Develop and implement the annual strategy for the category, including any engagement with the business stakeholders.
- Consistently horizon scanning for areas of improvement for the category strategy.
- Aim to deliver cost reduction through effective planning and strategy.
- Identify opportunities to contribute to best practice procurement, across all applicable business units.
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing process.
- Manage vendor relationships throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Driving supplier performance improvement through managing of relationships,
- performance measurement and SLA review.
- Assisting and executing on procurement projects where required.
- A minimum of 3 years within category management/procurement.
- Comfortable stakeholder manager, both internal and external - able to showcase excellent communication skills.
- Strong technical skills, comfortable with MS Office and various procurement systems.
- Understanding of Professional/Financial/Insurance services.
- Experienced in setting and managing contractual SLAs.
