The role
In this role, you will provide specialised strategic advice and expert analysis on state and national matters regarding Queensland's immunisation program. You will ensure adherence to defined service quality standards, health and safety protocols to maintain safe, high-quality services and workplaces. Your key responsibilities will involve offering high-level professional advice to senior management, partners, and stakeholders to influence strategic planning and the delivery of complex preventive health interventions. By leveraging current research and data analysis, you will lead and manage immunisation projects aimed at enhancing program effectiveness and public health outcomes.
As a leader, you will drive collaborative and consultative processes with national partners, state government departments, public health units, and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen immunisation interventions. Additionally, you will provide advanced leadership to improve the quality and management of immunisation data in Queensland. This position requires a commitment to Queensland Health's core values and the ability to work across diverse teams to build preventive health capacity and deliver innovative service models.
The successful person
To excel in this role, you will need strong interpersonal, communication, consultation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to cultivate positive team dynamics and effective stakeholder relationships. You should also demonstrate the capacity to handle multiple tasks, manage competing priorities, and lead complex statewide projects.
Furthermore, you will possess specialised knowledge and expertise in implementing public health initiatives of statewide significance, along with a demonstrated ability to lead strategic change by influencing policy reforms, driving innovation, and promoting quality improvement.
