**About the Opportunity**:
Based in Sydney, you will have opportunity to travel interstate to support ONRSR’s work with significant railway projects. You’ll join the Major Projects team, where your knowledge of systems safety assurance and your ability to work independently will have a positive contribution to the safe delivery of railway projects. The Major Projects team works collaboratively and supports each other to provide a consistent approach to all major projects; additionally, you will have access to the engineering, rail systems and safety assurance experience provided by ONRSR’s team of technical specialists.
**About you - Your Impact and Contribution**:
You are an experienced system safety assurance manager with extensive experience in the delivery of major rail projects and programs and have highly developed communication, negotiation, interpersonal and report writing skills. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and knowledge of rail engineering disciplines, system safety and railway systems.
**To be successful in the role you must be able to also demonstrate the following**:
- Experience in the delivery of major rail projects and programs.
- Knowledge of rail engineering disciplines and railway systems.
- Proven experience and knowledge in the assessment of safety management systems and risk management in the rail industry for rail safety compliance.
- Proven experience and knowledge in systems safety assurance in the rail industry in accordance with IEC 61508 and EN 50126, 50128, 50129 standards.
- Experience in the delivery of safety improvement projects in the rail industry.
