Product Manager needed for a digital transformation project for a 12-month contract in a Federal Govt agency

**Your new company**

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Product Manager to join a Federal government agency. This role will be a 12-month contract with the potential for another 12 months. Hybrid working role.

**Your new role**
- You will provide day-to-day leadership of the multidisciplinary product team, ensuring the strategy and products meet user needs to grow and iterate the strategy for ecosystem integration
- Represent the product team to digital and regulatory colleagues in the department
- Maintain good relationships with industry leaders in the agriculture ecosystem
- Focus the team on the highest priority work items over multiple sprints and quarters
- Lead the product team through discovery, alpha, beta and live
- Set the strategy and vision for the product and team
- Own and prioritise the product backlog and set the goals for each iteration / sprint
- Lead and enhance stakeholder engagement to the wider organisation
- Accept each backlog item when completed - ensuring work is completed to the expected quality
- Overall accountability for whether the product meets user needs

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven experience in delivering technology products in large, complex organisations
- Strong technical knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces and software integration patterns
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in Agile and User-Centred Design practices
- Excellent communication skills and can explain technical concepts to non-technical people
- Knowledge of the agriculture technology industry
- Experience with delivery of technology to support regulatory decision-making processes
- Experience delivering to the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
- Must be an Australian Citizen
