**The Role**
MCPSPO are seeking professional and proficient EL 1 Product Team Managers to join our high performing team within the Maritime Cross-Platform Systems Program Office (MCPSPO), based in Sydney.

The EL 1 Product Team Managers will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role for one of MCPSPO’s Product Teams. These positions require excellent leadership, logistics, interpersonal, analytical, governance, procurement and financial management skills.

As an EL 1 Product Team Manager, you will work under broad direction while being responsible for leading a team that manages and provides complex materiel logistics and product management support through both commercial and in-house support arrangements.

You will also be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder and industry relationships and will be able to use that knowledge to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes.

**About our Team**
The MCPSPO within Maritime Systems Division, is the lead agency for delivery of Cross-Class Sustainment Product and advice across the maritime environment. MCPSPO sustains and manages a range of complex military systems and supplies, through an extensive network of industry partners, domestic and off-shore.

Our operating environment is complex and challenging, and requires exceptional contract and relationship management skills. MCPSPO is comprised of three functions, including Commercial, Sustainment and Engineering cells.

To be successful in your role as an EL 1 Product Team Manager, you will need to demonstrate the following:

- Significant contract management experience and a strong understanding of/experience in business management, procurement and finance
- Understand Seaworthiness and the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) requirements within the SPO
- Analyse, develop and implement product management options that achieve optimal use of Defence assets, balancing cost, opportunities and risks against desired asset performance
- Knowledge of or the ability to quickly adapt, learn understand the sustainment environment
- Utilise contract management knowledge as a means to provide excellent service and build a strong relationship with our customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and be comfortable with networking with a variety of stakeholders
- High level interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain key working relationships within the SPO and with our industry partners
- Experience managing a team, including mentoring, coaching and developing others
- Strong ability to resolve competing priorities, and accountability to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development of team members
- Ability to drive sustainable change by partnering collaboratively across an organisation and externally
