**Ovolo Woolloomooloo** is the brand's flagship Australian hotel, located in Sydney's idyllic harbourside suburb of... (dramatic drum roll) Woolloomooloo. Nestled in the heart of the popular wharf precinct, a short walk to the city's central business district, the hotel is surrounded by a wide selection of much-loved dining and nightlife options. Ovolo Woolloomooloo features 100 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, meeting rooms and events spaces, a swimming pool, and Alibi Bar & Kitchen (100% plant-based).

**The Gig**

Ovolo Hotels is on the hunt for their next Events superstar The **Events Operations Manager** will play a vital role in driving the success of our Conference & Events department. You will lead the team from the front, ensuring that our Conferencing & Events run smoothly and efficiently, catering to all our guests needs. You will look after a wide range of functions, including weddings, conferences, birthday parties and more. This **Full-Time** gig will require your complete availability to cater to a 7 day rotating roster. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for day-to-day operations of all conference & events
- Overseeing all administration and reporting for C+E
- Arrange regular training for your team, as well as providing them constant support and guidance, coaching where necessary
- Actively attends to guest feedback, including all negative feedback in an attempt to resolve any issues
- Communicates requests, stock and all necessary good required for C+E
- Maintains clean and tidy areas for C+E environment, adhering to all company and government WHS standards
- Liaise and assist other with other departments where necessary

**About you**

We provide a fun and exciting environment and all we ask is that you give us your dedication to our brand and most importantly, your team To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum 2 years in a supervisory/assistant manager role focusing primarily on conference and events, looking to make that next exciting career step. Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Events or something similar. You will bring your bright, bubbly attitude to Ovolo, along with your amazing communication, problem-solving & exceptional customer service skills. You will preferably be proficient POS & Micros systems and most importantly you will be FABULOUS, UNCONVENTIONAL & NEVER BORING.
