**About the Company**:
WHSmith is a historic British retailer focusing on news, books and convenience, and is a renowned, competitive leader in the travel market worldwide. Alongside WHSmith retailers, Fresh+ currently operate a large number of hospital cafés across NSW, QLD, and SA, providing food, beverages, and convenience retail to hospital staff and the general public. Our Australian operations, under which 7 brands currently operate, are rapidly expanding and since WHSmith is expected to continue this growth, we are looking for a Central Operations Coordinator to join us on this journey.
**About the Role**:
Pivotal to the effective communication between WHSmith retail, Fresh+, and Support Office functions, the Central Operations Coordinator will provide administrative support and lead effective workload planning for the operations leadership team.
Work with the Head of Retail and Head of Food to define workload for store-based teams. By being an effective communicator with Support Office Stakeholders including Commercial, Safety, HR and Finance, you will create, manage, and maintain a central workload planning tool.
**Duties & Responsibilites**:
- A responsible communication point between Retail / Food Operations Team and all other departments.
- General Administration activities - management of Central Operations inbox & following up to resolve issues promptly.
- Stores communication from internal stakeholders
- Ensure stores have the correct requisites for Operation.
- Manage stationary ordering and approval for Retail / Food Operations - reporting on monthly spend.
- Control and manage Intranet content - ensuring that content is relevant, simple and engaging.
- Provide stores with Merchandise updates as needed and collate any post implementation feedback for review.
- Attend meetings for business change (weekly Retail / Food Operations meetings, and food safety meetings), being an effective note-taker and communicator, whilst collating responses and confirming actions accordingly.
- Support in the consolidation of Weekly reporting Food operations.
- Provide adhoc general admin support to the Head of Operations for Retail and Food.
**Requirements**:
- Strong administration experience within retail environment
- An Intermediate Understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Excel.
- An ability to extract and interpret data relating to Staff Costs from an online platform for input into tracking templates, and the ability to present any required actions in a timely and concise manner.
- Willingness to learn with a results driven attitude.
- Team focused with the ability to multi-task and excellent attention to detail
- An effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, alongside advanced verbal and written communication ability.
- Personable and able to build effective relationships at varying seniority and ability levels across multiple functions.
