**ABOUT THIS ROLE**
Opportunities for Training Managers and Senior Instructors with Defence experience to work within a highly regarded and leading-edge simulation training environment.
Our client is assembling a team of highly motivated Defence technical specialists to lead and deliver world class training solutions to the Navy. We are looking for a driven and service focused individual who is ready to take on this career changing opportunity. You will play a vital role in providing platforms and systems training for Navy personnel. You will be involved with the implementation of familiarisation, operator, and maintainer courses.
The type of training being delivered will be a mix of face-to-face training, blended learning, and eLearning in addition to the instruction of utilising emulators and part-task trainers.
**TRAINING MANAGER - INNOVATION**
The Training Manager - Innovation will be responsible for leading new innovative ways to improve the delivery and structure of course. The role of the Training Manager will be to identify new opportunities to improve and innovate the individual courses and training modules. You will be working closely with the Program Manager and Training Manager - Delivery.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate, plan and execute annual continuous improvements and innovation plans.
- Identify opportunities for the training program to enhance its effectiveness.
- Redesign and restructure courses to improve learning outcomes.
- Develop technical, commercial, financial and subcontract arrangements for innovation.
- Coordinate, develop and present during innovation meetings.
- Develop the innovation S&Q plans.

**SENIOR INSTRUCTORS**
The Senior Instructor will be responsible for providing oversight to the instructional staff, ensuring delivery standards are met and the course material is carried out effectively. You will be required to provide the course instructors with guidance within their field of expertise. You will play a vital role in providing minor improvements to the course material once agreed upon with Navy representatives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the training delivery of courses and ensure the deliverables are met to an appropriate standard.
- Delivery upon the role of the instructor as required.
- Manage student access to the use of training aids.
**ABOUT THE COMPANY**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE TRAINING TEAM**
- Implement all activities associated with the delivery specific training courses.
- Contribute to course facilitation, pre-course preparation and post-course activities.
- Manage student and the use of training aids (e.g., Part Task Trainers, emulators).
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the range of courses.
- Maintain customer-oriented business and positive relationships.
**SKILLS & EXPERINECE NEEDED**
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1.
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Experience as an instructor or trainer position.
- Ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Knowledge of Defence and their operating procedures and policies.
