The department is working in partnership with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to support hospital-wide patient flow and launching a targeted 24-month Timely Emergency Care Collaborative. This Collaborative would provide support for leadership and improvement teams from at least eight health services within Victoria.
As an Improvement Advisor you will contribute to the development of the Collaborative, with key responsibilities including:

- Contributing to the development of foundational Collaborative materials including project aims, measurement strategy, content theory, execution strategy and dissemination plans.
- Supporting shared learning among participating teams throughout the Collaborative and harvest successes for broader dissemination and spread.
- Supporting regular reflection on progress and support the development of strategies for addressing challenges as they arise
- Contributing to preparation and participation in meetings to ensure intentional reflection on progress and learning

Accountabilities
- Provide authoritative advice and sound policy recommendations to senior management and government based on comprehensive research.
- Develop a range of policy and initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Monitor and report on high priority issues, risks and trends and prepare and present reports, ministerial briefs, Cabinet and agency submissions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and facilitate the flow of information across the department and with key external stakeholders.
- Contribute to policy frameworks, strategic planning and program development to meet departmental objectives and community expectations.
