Immediate start - Melbourne CBD location **Your new role** Statutory Authority seeks experienced Media and Communcations Advisors for full-time, 3 month contracts based in Melbourne CBD. As a Media and Communcations Advisors, you will manage and deliver media and strategic communications advice across various channels to inform and increase engagement. The position requires a keen eye for detail, ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects, and be a confident communicator. You must be available for roster and for after hours on-call media duties on a rotating basis. **Key responsibilities** - use communications generalist skills to deliver a diverse range of communications tasks. - provide strategic and tactical communications advice, and develop strategies in line with FRV direction. Develop plans to deliver communication activities and projects. - engage with stakeholders, coordinate, obtain required approvals and facilitate delivery of communications content to timelines. - manage media response during business hours and on-call after hours on a shared rotating shift basis. Attend media opportunities and deploy to incidents to provide media support as directed. - manage development and publishing of corporate communication assets in both print and digital (SharePoint and Drupal) formats. **Attributes and Skills** - 3+ years' experience in a Corporate Communications or Stakeholder Engagement role. - Demonstrable experience in producing high quality communications collateral i.e. promotions, digital campaigns, media releases, briefings. - Knowledge of current social media and digital communication tools, rules, processes and procedures. - Demonstrated track record of strong project management/ publications delivery, engaging stakeholders and achieving desired outcomes. - Experience working as a team member on long-term major community-based programs including development of key partner relationships desirable. - Exceptional time management skills, managing multiple and competing priorities. - High competency in Microsoft Office Suite. **Qualifications** - Relevant tertiary Communications qualification or related field - A current Drivers Licence will be required **What you need to do now** Click "APPLY NOW" forwarding a copy of your resume and cover letter highlighting your communications and media experience and skills, your government and/or emergency management experience, and your suitability for the role.
