We’re on the lookout for a talented Functions & Communications Coordinator to join our Head Office team. Based in Nedlands and embodying the corporate Varsity brand, the Varsity Functions & Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting the business across functions & incoming communications, delivering first class customer service to both functions and online customers.

Our Marketing team are responsible for identifying, anticipating and satisfying our customers needs, before they often know what they need to drive business profitability. We expect that you will be able to join the Marketing team and thrive within a diverse, high performing team.
Reporting to the Events & Partnerships Manager, this role will focus primarily on:
- Provide a first line voice to Varsity, always acting as a brand ambassador.
- Providing support to venue and Head Office team from a functions & communication perspective in line with Varsity brand requirements.
- Provide responses to customer queries and complaints in a timely manner that is representative of Varsity’s voice.
- Overall Functions management, including responding to customer queries, function bookings, run sheets, catering forms, finances and managing function requirements/run sheets directly with venue and kitchen teams.
- Develop and maintain Function Tracker Management Software relevant to the delivery of functions and events.
- Ensure smooth delivery of large functions through physical presence at key functions.
- Working closely with the Finance Department to ensure accurate payment and reconciliation of functions.
- Maintaining engagement with former customers to ensure repeat function bookings and revenue through targeted marketing and campaigns.
**The Skills & Experience You'll Have**:
- 2-3 years’ experience in Functions/Communications Co-ordination.
- Experience working with high volume function/event enquiries whilst maintaining a strong customer relationship.
- Confidence working directly with Venue-based teams to ensure an outstanding function/event experience for customers.
- Have an outgoing and friendly personality.
- The ability to ensure a positive customer experience for our Varsity customers and team members.
- Willingness to tackle problems head-on.
**Skills/experience that would make your profile even sweeter**:
- A qualification in marketing or events (desirable but not essential).
