The role
Reporting to the Manager, Ethical Standards Unit, Office of the Director-General your role will be responsible for conducting high level, complex and sensitive investigations of suspected corrupt conduct.
The successful person
**You will have demonstrated**:

- Expertise in managing and conducting complex investigations of suspected corrupt conduct, with the ability to operate effectively in a sensitive and complex work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, liaison and communication skills, including the capacity and ability to work within a team, and negotiate or communicate with influence on behalf of the agency with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication skills, including ability to prepare documents, investigation reports and briefing notes for the Minister or senior officers on complex and sensitive issues.

The Ethical Standards Unit (ESU) is the Department of Health's central point for receiving, assessing and reporting suspected corrupt conduct to the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) under the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 and public interest disclosures (PID) under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 to the Queensland Ombudsman. These statutory functions are delegated by the Director-General.
