**About the role**

As an Account Manager, you will be focused on managing the recovery and operational aspects of client accounts. This role involves monitoring account statuses, managing collections, and ensuring that recovery goals are met. Under instruction from specified clients, monitor and collect outstanding payments from debtors in order to successfully discharge debt to the Clients, following the necessary procedures and adhering to the requirements of relevant legislation and regulations.

Debtor Management
- Manage legal and pre legal files for allocated accounts to ensure all files are actioned and progressed to the next stage.
- Prepare Letters of Demand
- Upon Instruction from clients, issue Magistrates' Court complaints for recovery of monies following the required legal procedures
- As necessary, generate Court documents on CMS portal
- Undertake Company searches and Title Searches

Client and matter management
- Build rapport and relationship with key stakeholders for managed accounts
- Liaise with clients to report on outstanding matters and to receive further instruction
- Provide advice to clients on next action and different options available for recovery
- Prepare relevant activity and cost reports for the client for review and comment

**About you**

Ideally you will have:

- A working knowledge of the Local Government Act 1989 and Magistrate Court rules
- A working knowledge or ability to become familiar with Section 60 of the Trade Practices Act 1974
- Familiarity with the Privacy Act 1988 and subsequent Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000
- Attention to detail, able to produce accurate, high quality work
- Able to prioritise workloads according to levels of urgency
