As part of The Benevolent Society’s commitment to improving disability services to the community, and ensuring we play a role in continuing to develop high quality supervisory practice, we have invested in the creation of a new role in our Disability Services division.

The purpose of the role is to work closely with Managers and Team Leaders to provide high quality clinical supervision to Occupational Therapists who may require support to ensure that they meet the requirements of TBS policy and procedures and NDIS quality standards.

This role will provide Clinical Supervision and inform the Disability Management team regarding practice needs to ensure high quality clinical services are provided, for a cohort of geographically distributed therapists in their discipline working in the NDIS environment.

You will be involved in recruitment processes in collaboration with the relevant Team Leaders to onboard new practitioners to join the TBS team. To ensure a close mentoring relationship is built with the practitioners in your group, some travel may be required.

- A “Community of Practice” model within a truly multidisciplinary allied health team of Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Psychologists and Support Coordinators as well as Occupational Therapists.

You are passionate about supporting people with a disability and improving the support they receive through developing practitioners.

With a client centric, quality and people development focus you can;
- Offer high level clinical supervision and have considerable supervision expertise and experience.
- Coach, advise and provide on the job support to therapists in their discipline to enhance quality and culturally appropriate interventions.
- Promote and ensure Evidenced Based Practice (EBP), providing coaching, mentoring and supervision using EBP with therapy staff.
- Work in collaboration with other Senior Clinicians and the PIM team to monitor, develop and improve clinical service provision.
- Current registration with AHPRA and a deep understanding of the NDIS
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people
