The Queensland Academy of Sport's mission is to inspire extraordinary sporting success. We recently brought this mission to life when 191 Queensland athletes proudly wore green and gold while representing Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Paris 2024 will go down in history as Australia's best ever Games, setting the bar high for the next Olympic and Paralympic cycle. The QAS is now on a mission to deliver more medals across more sports at the Los Angeles 2028 Games, in anticipation of hosting Australia's most successful Games in Queensland in 2032.

The QAS supports more than 500 elite athletes on their sporting journey from talented juniors to Olympians, Paralympians and World Champions. Our expert staff support athletes through in-house programs, partnerships with State and National Sporting Organisations, and individualised support for athletes on medal-winning trajectories to help them perform when it matters most.

Our ambitious high-performance strategy for the 2032 Games is to create more medal-winning moments for Queensland athletes that inspire their state and nation. Your contribution and key accountabilities
- Work collaboratively with the QAS Performance Partnerships team to service corporate partners, ensuring we deliver on contracted obligations.
- Deliver best practice events, projects, and initiatives in accordance with current policies and procedures.
- Coordinate events and projects from conception to evaluation (research, plan, document, resource budget, deliver, promote, evaluate and report) including development of project plans, communication materials, project timelines, briefing notes, contracts and correspondence. Ensure the nominated initiatives achieve outcomes within time, cost, quality, scope and risk tolerances.
- Develop communication materials that support the delivery of events, projects and/or initiatives.
- Develop, support and sustain effective, collaborative working relationships with team members and diverse internal and external stakeholders to leverage resources and technical expertise. These include QAS business units, the DSROPG Department, and National and State Sporting organisations and QAS Corporate Partners to deliver QAS outcomes.
- Coordinate administrative staff, contractors and suppliers engaged to facilitate the delivery of events, projects and/or initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Australian High-Performance system (including State Institutes, AIS, international and professional elite sport networks) to share knowledge and leverage opportunities.
- As a member of the QAS team, take shared accountability for setting a high-performance culture to enable successful outcomes. This also includes adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards at all times.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service, Public Service Values and departmental policies and positively contribute to a high-performing workplace culture that is respectful, inclusive and safe.
