Industry Engagement & Events Specialist
**About the role**
We are currently seeking an Industry Engagement & Events Specialist to join QIC's Communications and Marketing team based in Brisbane on a permanent, open term basis.
The Industry Engagement & Events Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting QIC's strategic priorities by managing industry engagement initiatives, sponsorships, partnerships, and events. This position is instrumental in enhancing QIC's corporate reputation and investment capabilities through effective external communications, marketing efforts, and event management.
Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and delivery of industry engagement initiatives, including sponsorships, memberships, partnerships, and events that align with QIC's strategic priorities.
- Enhancing QIC's corporate reputation and investment capabilities through effective brand management, external communications, and the coordination of marketing and events.
- Organising and executing annual investor conferences across QIC's asset classes and other client engagement.
- Managing QIC's participation in industry events, ensuring successful sponsorship execution, speaking engagements, and brand representation.
- Overseeing event logistics, including venue and catering arrangements, and invitations and RSVP management.
- Coordinating internal team participation by managing placeholders, invitations, and schedules for QIC attendees.
- Administering the sponsorship and event approval process, including preparing CEO Memos, obtaining legal clearances, and processing invoices.
- Conducting post-event reviews to capture insights and improve future engagements.
- Supporting the management of industry memberships to maximise value and alignment with strategic goals.
- Coordinating presentation training for QIC personnel to enhance their impact and engagement at industry events.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of initiatives.
**About you**
You will have a strong background in event management, external communications, or corporate marketing with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will also have:
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, industry engagement, or events, preferably in a B2B or industry-focused environment.
- Proven ability to manage events, associated budgets, and develop communication and engagement strategies across multiple channels.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong logístical, organisational, and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams, effectively coordinating tasks while managing competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite, with strong attention to detail and data entry skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and maintaining constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage insights and analytics to inform communication strategies and enhance outcomes.
- A proactive approach to professional development and a commitment to continuous improvement.
