**The Role**
International Outreach plays a pivotal role within Engagement and Support team of DEC. It is instrumental in driving Defence's strategic engagement objectives in the region and globally through the meticulous planning and coordination of international events. International Outreach is also responsible for expanding DEC’s global presences, building and maintaining DEC’s international relationships, and driving initiatives that foster global collaboration.

**About our Team**
At Defence Export Controls (DEC) the role is part of the Governance team that provides advice in relation to a range of governance, assurance and audit activities that supports AS DEC at the operational and strategic level in delivery of DECs Branch objectives. The role offers opportunities to be engaged in work across the Branch, which will require developing an understanding of our Projects and Products and active pursuit of ongoing self-improvement, and professional development is expected.

The role works under broad direction to manage key stakeholder relationships and achieve outcomes in relation to Branch governance, performance reporting, Branch risk management, and internal Branch assurance and audit functions that assure the AS DEC that the Branch is achieving its Mission and Priorities in an accountable and defensible way.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to:
