**About the Department of Medical Education, Melbourne Medical School**
The Department of Medical Education was established as a department within the Melbourne Medical School in 2015. It has responsibility for the delivery of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) course, research in medical education and a range of professional development postgraduate and non-award programs.

As the first Australian professional entry masters level program, the Melbourne MD creates a new benchmark in 21st century medical education. It delivers advanced clinical and academic training to ensure students are prepared for the challenges of a high-quality medical internship. The MD is a 4-year program with an intake of approximately 350 students per year. The degree is delivered through our Parkville campus, metropolitan and rural Clinical Schools, partner organisations.

**About the Role**
The Students and Programs Coordinator is a member of the Academic Programs Team in the Department of Medical Education, playing a key leadership role in the delivery of the redesigned Doctor of Medicine (MD) course.

The other main accountability is the delivery of clinical examinations for the MD. This involves the event coordination of the Standardised Case Based Discussion (SCBD) and the Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), which are multi-station examinations involving significant organisation requirements and resources.

Responsibilities include:

- Ensure the delivery of a client focussed service that considers stakeholder needs in all processes in accordance with organisational expectations.
- Provide executive support for the MD Clinical Assessment Review Panel (CARP) including preparing and disseminating agendas, minutes and working documents.
- Coordinate the OSCE writing process in consultation with academic staff, including preparing timelines and version control.
- Coordinate the training of examiners, volunteers and simulated patients in collaboration with relevant academic staff.

**About You**
You have extensive experience in an administrative role that required coordination of a range of complex function, including the organisation of large scale events. You possess excellent interpersonal skills and your attention to detail is second to none.

You will also have:

- A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise in student and course administration; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Extensive experience in an events role that required large scale coordination, specifically including complex scheduling of up to 500 people, catering, training and written communications to various stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop, implement and continuously improve administrative processes and procedures.
- Excellent organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a team member or independently and to contribute to the development of the School, Faculty and the University as a whole.
