Your responsibilities will be purchasing, inventory management and the day-to-day operations of the store. The role entails managing stock levels, overseas purchasing, managing overseas freight, obtaining quotes & seeking new local supplies and managing supplier relationships.

Working closely with the Accountant, Division Manager & Storeman your duties will include:

- Plan and coordinate stock control, purchasing and overseas freight
- Proactively manage and purchase stock to maintain stock level requirements on standard store items, and key product lines
- Ensure stock accuracy through regular stock checks, stock takes and entering of accurate stock data
- Undertake regular analysis of all slow-moving stock
- Quality control of goods entering store for accuracy, quality and quantity
- Provide timely, accurate quotations from suppliers on materials as requested
- Provide timely, accurate quotations from freight forwarders for overseas consignments
- Maintain the overseas shipping register and provide feedback to Sales Team of changes to ETAs
- Coordinate the purchasing of parts or equipment for job/project requirements, follow them through and ensure they arrive in time for production/assembly and be pro-active in following up back orders

To be successful in this role you will need to have top communication and organisational skills along with high attention to detail and accuracy. You must have previous overseas purchasing experience, be computer literate and a team player. A current driver’s licence and ideally but not essential a forklift licence.

This is a permanent part-time office based position 3 days per week with days and hours flexible. Located in Revesby with parking provided. The salary guide is up to $40 per hour + Super dependent on experience.
