Oshc Coordinator

**SUMMARY**:

- Coordinate medium sized service (licensed for 155, 70% occupancy); super popular Vacation Care
- $37-$40/hour plus allowances;

**JOB DETAILS**
**Position**:

- Coordinator
- Permanent Part-time, or casual

**Pay**:

- permanent... $37 to $40/hour
- plus split shift ($19 / day) and laundry allowance ($6 / week)
- travel allowance if you live > 40 minutes away
- plus Super

**Experience / Qualifications / Training**:

- 2 years experience in OOSH
- related tertiary education will always help
- various courses including Diploma of OOSH provided free through Kids Capers and government training agencies
- First Aid and Child Protection supplied free through Kids Capers

**Shifts/Hours of Work**
**During Term**:

- 35 hours per week
- 7:00 - 9:30; 1:30 - 6:00
**Vacation Care**:

- 35 to 45 hours per week - you decide how much you wish to do
- shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm

**Responsibilities**:

- the program is developed by the educational leader. You will provide programming suggestions and feedback
- developing the weekly roster and menu
- educating and caring for the children
- adoption of MTOP
- knowledge of or prepared to learn (fairly quickly) Quality Standards
- contribution to Assessment and Rating and ongoing compliance of the service
- staff management
- liaising with families, school and management
- conduct short weekly staff meetings; attend monthly management meeting remotely (short and sweet)
- Childcare Management System is Qikkids. Experience with Qikkids is not necessary - we'll train you on the few relevant areas
- enrolment, bookings and billing is performed by the admin team

**The Service**:

- located within St Luke's Parish and St Luke's Catholic Primary School
- dedicated OSHC building with access to large hall (in same building). COLA out the back with adjoining school playground
- tons of equipment. Suggestions for new and different equipment are normally accepted and fulfilled.
- separate kitchen (not kitchenette) with stove, dishwasher etc
- multiple play areas. New sports courts being built
- plenty of street parking; bus stop out the front
