**Job Description**:
The Quality Advisor (Joint Venture and Supply Chain) will work within the Perth office of Albemarle Operations in Australia. The role’s main focus areas are:

- Maintaining compliance to ISO 9001 and the implemented Quality Management System.
- Quality qualification of suppliers who deliver products or services Albemarle operations in Australia.
- Preparation and execution of supplier audits.
- Consistent reporting and management of supplier Quality Incidents which occur at site.
- Management and maintenance of Quality relevant supplier records.
- This will be accomplished through close collaboration with suppliers and the operations supply chain department in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance
- Maintain KMS documents related to supplier QA to ensure their compliance to the requirements of ISO 9001 and other relevant Quality Standards (as and if applicable), as well as Albemarle Corporation (globally).

Audits
- Provide input into the audit plan
- Conduct planned joint venture partner and supplier audits as per audit programme.
- Track corrections and corrective actions resulting from internal and external audits.
- Complete assigned QA related corrections, root cause analysis and corrective actions resulting from internal and 3rd Party audit findings.
- Resolve or, if necessary, escalate audit related issues with Albemarle joint venture management personnel suppliers.

Management non-audit related Quality Incidents and Nonconformities
- Report joint venture partner or supplier Nonconformities or them in the reporting of nonconformities.
- Support joint venture partners/suppliers in the completion of Nonconformities with correction, root cause analysis and corrective action.

Supplier QA Qualification
- Maintain the qualification status of suppliers regarding Albemarle Operations Quality Assurance requirements.
- Resolve supplier related QA qualification issues with the supplier or escalate these to the Quality manager if required.

Project Quality
- Provide supplier related QA input into sustaining capital projects and, if requested, to major capital projects, such as
- issuance of supply chain related QA project deliverables;
- review of QA relevant supplier project deliverables;
- project supplier audits;
- project supplier quality incidents and NCR's;
- project supply chain related lessons learnt.

Control of QA Department relevant Records
- Maintenance all relevant joint venture partner and supplier related QA records.

Continual Improvement
- Support joint venture partners and suppliers to conduct Root Cause Analysis as required, to enable definition of effective and economic corrective actions.
- Continually improve the joint venture partner and supplier related QA processes and systems.

Training
- Identify needs for QA training of joint venture partners, suppliers and operations departments.
- Design and deliver QA training to joint venture partners and suppliers as required.

Department Management
- Provide input into the department budget plan.

Work Experience:
Quality Specific and Technical Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a Quality Assurance role.
- Very good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Ability to understand supply chain principles, control points, methods and interactions.
- Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to analyse complex systems, draw conclusions based on facts. Good proficiency in troubleshooting operational issues and debottlenecking.

**Skills**:

- Organizational skills, critical thinking skills and process oriented.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to suppliers and team members.
- Good interpersonal skills require active listening, honest and frequent feedback, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work with team members to achieve team objectives. Team success will depend on the ability to share technical information, ideas, and experiences to build a strong knowledge base.
- Ability to plan daily activities, manage priorities, and eliminate non-value-added activities. Respect of projects milestones.
- Openness to new ideas, new ways of working and new technologies, and implementation of innovative solutions.
- Good presentation skills and confidence to present to an audience of 50 plus people.

**Education**:

- Tertiary qualification (minimum Cert III) in a technical discipline.
- Lead Auditor Qualification.
- Continual Improvement Qualifications, such as Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
