At Tennis Queensland we are passionate about what we do and have ambitious plans to continue to grow our game from grassroots through to Grand Slams. The Queensland Tennis Centre (QTC) is the premier tennis venue in the state and our programs open many doors in growing grassroots participation and offers a fantastic range of programs that combines tennis, fitness, and fun into the one. Tennis is our focus and our passion, and we are committed to ensuring the sport is easy to access, enjoyable to play, and offers engaging programs for all levels.
We are now looking for a QTC Business Operations Lead to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
About the role
As the QTC Business Operations Lead you will be responsible for providing leadership, administration, and customer service delivery to the Queensland Tennis Centre Tennis Operations Business. This includes Court hire, Membership, Programs, Coaching, Pro Shop, Restringing, Merchandise and Café, ensuring all deliver the highest levels of customer experience and efficiency. As a member of the QTC team you will take a ‘hands on’ approach working collaboratively with the team to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Reporting into the Head of Queensland Tennis Centre in this role you will:_
- Provide leadership and promote an effective, satisfying and productive working environment with the team.
- Oversee the consistent delivery of excellent customer service and administration by regularly monitoring performance and offering feedback, training, and support to staff.
- Develop rosters, approve timesheets, and manage all counter delivery requirements to meet the demands of the business.
- Manage the Intennis business management system with a focus on financial management of the business including direct debits, reconciliation, and procurement requirements.
- Oversee the development and execution of all marketing and communications.
- Grow memberships through membership package design, execution of recruitment drives and retention campaigns.
About you
- To be successful in this role you will:_
- Excellent interpersonal style with a high level of communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong operational and administrative skills with a customer service focus.
- High level of IT competency including using the full Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous customer service experience within hospitality or retail is desirable.
- Experience in marketing and content creation highly desirable
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current and valid Police Check, Working with Children Check and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- Preparedness to be flexible regarding working hours as required.
