**The Role**
As the APS 6 Project Support Officer, you are accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex project activities within an integrated workforce while maintaining a well-developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy and procedure requirements.

You are responsible for organising workflow and making independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility. You will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessments and perform procedural, clerical, administrative support to achieve results.

You will play a pivotal role in analysing, gathering and documenting requirements and business processes. You may provide advice and assistance to team members, engage and communicate with stakeholders, respond and assist in the preparation of all project related reporting and provide advice on issues to achieve project outcomes. You are accountable to contribute to ongoing self-improvement and professional.

**About our Team**
The Joint Command, Control, Communication and Computers (Joint C4) Branch is accountable for remediating the current, and assuring the future, Joint Force’s Command and Control backbone. The Joint C4 capabilities are the foundation of the Sensor Decider Effector framework and are the glue for employing the Joint Force across the Land, Maritime, Air & Space, and Information & Cyber Domains.

Joint C4 branch is accountable for:

- Warfighting Networks and Applications - to allow Commanders to coordinate and synchronise a connected Joint Force.
- Joint Data Networks - to exchange warfighting data and battlespace information.
- HF Communications - to transport battlespace information.
- Communications Security - to enable secure communications across the battlespace.
- Defence Artificial Intelligence Centre - continuous digital enablement of our Joint Force.

Joint C4 Branch is a mix of APS, ADF and contracted personnel, who work together in a One Defence mindset to support the war fighter and Defence outcomes.

We are seeking a team player who thrives in a challenging yet supportive environment. As the APS 6 Project Support Officer within JCG you will have Administrative and/or PSO experience and an eagerness to learn. You will be detail orientated and have the ability to effectively prioritise tasks.

You will assist in completion of project outcomes and administrative functions within your team to:

- Support delivery of procedural, operational, administrative and business support activities across Defence.
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member to support the mission of your team.
- Build and sustain relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Coordinate tasks and assist in the preparation of submissions, briefs, minutes and other correspondence for Defence and external stakeholders.
