My client is a leading national ASX listed refrigerated transport, logistics, and supply company based in Sydney. Due to a period of growth, I am seeking a 2IC Depot manager to work closely with the Depot Manager.

This is a hands-on role that offers an unparalleled chance to drive cultural change, implement systems and processes, and contribute to the company's continued growth and success at a pivotal time as they gear up for greater commercial success.

As the 2IC Depot Manager, you will play a crucial role in transforming the depot's operations and fostering a cohesive and corporate environment. Working closely with senior management, you will enhance capability across the operation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Management of two Operations Managers and the associated teams (day and night shifts)
- Support the Depot Manager in the day-to-day running of the business
- Monitor and report on the performance of Operations
- Ensure that freight is delivered on time, every time, to drive customer satisfaction
- Fostering a modern, collaborative, and results-oriented environment
- Collaborate to optimize operations and support company growth through continuous improvement
- Maintain the strong safety culture, ensuring compliance and a safe working environment at all times
- Engage and communicate effectively with employees, highlighting the value of best practices
- Work with Depot Manager to implement system and process changes aligned with company vision
- Strong transport experience with temperature control experience preferred
- Customer-centric approach, ensuring high standards of service delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Very good ability at engaging employees at all levels
- Proven experience in driving continuous improvements
- Passion for developing and uplifting employees through effective training
- Strategic mindset, identifying waste, inefficiencies, and have ideas to do things better
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
- Valid car licence
