**We’re looking for a Communications Manager to own our internal comms heartbeat — shaping strategy, building smart frameworks, and delivering messages that connect, inspire, and engage our global Coates Crew.** You’ll lead everything from big-picture strategy to day-to-day storytelling, driving alignment and energy across the business. You’ll also jump into reactive comms, crisis response, employer brand campaigns, and select external comms — making sure every message is clear, on-brand, and impossible to ignore.

**Key responsibilities for the role**:

- Define and execute internal communications strategy to keep Crew informed, aligned, and engaged.
- Create and maintain internal communications framework.
- Partner with CBO, CoS, and CPO to finalise Internal Communication & Engagement Framework.
- Own strategic planning and execution of all internal comms and touchpoints.
- Develop global comms and engagement calendar (categories, ownership, cadence, channels).
- Write comms from both company and SLT member perspectives.
- Lead content refresh to improve messaging, visuals, and quality, including monthly Crewsletter.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and comms processes.
- Ensure brand and company strategy are embedded in all comms.
- Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, and Comms team on deliverables.
- Recommend and implement tools, resources, and processes to improve internal comms.
- Focus on enhancing connection, visibility, alignment, and engagement globally.
- Project manage End of Year and Financial Year presentations/videos, including strategy and messaging.
- Create Coates language and copy library for consistent brand voice.
- Project manage Coates History Book.
- Support marketing initiatives requiring strong writing skills.
- Assist in defining leadership profiles for SLT and thought leaders.
- Collaborate on special projects as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 7+ years of experience in communications (either internal or external)
- Proven ability to be an individual contributor and communications SME
- Demonstrated effective writing and communications skills
- Experience creating, executing and managing an internal communications program
- Experience in both the strategic and tactical elements of internal comms in order to own internal comms end-to-end, including creating a narrative tied to company and/or brand strategy, deep understanding of company strategy, concise and engaging writing and editing, attention to detail, ability to identify SMEs and build effective relationships, perform hands on role for all elements of internal comms
