**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated graduate or undergraduate Junior Civil Designer to join our team to support our senior designers and engineers.

You will learn from some of the best people in our industry and gain exposure to a wide variety of project types in civil and transport engineering.

**The Role**

**Duties**:

- Learn to develop practical design solutions and layouts on a wide range of civil infrastructure and urban development (with guidance and mentorship from senior team members)
- Gain exposure to interesting and innovative engineering projects from feasibility studies to construction completion
- Bring value by meaningfully contributing to internal design team meetings; share experiences, make design suggestions, question evolving design intents etc.
- Develop CAD techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of producing drawings.
- Personally execute project modelling, detailing & documentation for Civil engineering and Transport projects.
- Learn how to prepare concept/functional/detail designs for a variety of engineering circumstances
- Invest conscious ongoing effort to develop “designer” abilities, product knowledge and construction understanding through interactions with Senior Designers, Engineers, personal research, reading of codes, study, etc.
- Assist the MCG team to prepare high-quality deliverables

Who can apply?
- Studying for/have obtained a degree or diploma in engineering or related field
- Reside and able to work in Australia (visa)
- Use of AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Awareness of relevant standards and guidelines
- Good verbal and written communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $1.00 per year
