About the Role:

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to join our team on large-scale infrastructure projects. As part of a structural subcontractor, you'll support the engineering and site teams in delivering key structural elements for bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, culverts, and other heavy civil works.

Location will vary depending on where project sites are located.

This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in structural engineering within the infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities:


• Assist with reviewing structural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.


• Support the coordination and execution of on-site structural works (e.g., concrete pours, steel installation, formwork, reinforcement).


• Perform quantity take-offs and assist with preparing material requisitions.


• Help monitor construction progress, quality control, and safety compliance on site.


• Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and other subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.


• Assist with the preparation of method statements, inspection requests, and site reports.


• Participate in regular site meetings and technical briefings.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.


• 0–2 years of experience in civil or structural engineering, preferably in infrastructure projects.


• Basic understanding of structural construction methods (e.g., formwork systems, rebar installation, concrete works).


• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of structural software (e.g., STAAD, Tekla, Revit) is a plus.


• Willingness to work on active construction sites and adapt to field conditions.


• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Preferred:


• Internship or co-op experience with a contractor or structural firm.


• Familiarity with infrastructure standards (e.g., DOT, BS, Eurocode, AASHTO).


• CSCS or equivalent site safety certification (or willing to obtain).
