**About the Committee**

The Committee for Greater Frankston is a visionary politically independent think-tank that advocates to all levels of government for a better deal for the Frankston region. The Greater Frankston region incorporates Carrum Downs, Seaford, Langwarrin, Somerville, Mt Eliza and Frankston City Centre.

Independently funded by prominent local business and community leaders to drive strategic change, our advocacy approach focuses on articulating a well-reasoned, well-supported case for major infrastructure and policy reform.

Focusing attention on just a handful of major issues at any one time, these evidence-based strategies aim to deliver greater investment, more jobs, improved transport, and better health and education outcomes for the people of this region and, in so doing, help our area achieve the progress that it deserves.

**About the Role**

The primary focus of the CEO’s role is to work with the Chairperson and Board to develop a vision, strategy and short-list of priority advocacy projects which will unlock the potential of our region and ensure our city, and its residents, continue to thrive.

In this role you will:

- develop strong relationships with key decision makers in business, government at all levels and within Member organisations.
- passionately promote the vision, goals and objectives of the organisation, and develop effective media partnerships.
- lead the Committee’s Secretariat and be responsible for managing staff, suppliers and the financial outcomes of the Committee.

**Some Key Responsibilities**
- Identify key industry and community issues and promote strategies for the benefit of Frankston and its community by assimilating views and researching ideas of the Board and Members.
- Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with external groups to achieve the aims of the Committee.
- Develop effective relationship with Federal, State and Local Government to facilitate the implementation of key project ideas for the benefit of Frankston.
- Provide an effective Secretariat to service the Board and Members; ensure good organisational management and sound governance.
- Provide regular briefings and advice to the Chairperson and Board.
- Develop an annual program of events and activities to support and promote the aims and objectives of the Committee.
- Develop marketing strategies to promote the organisation.

The role is flexible and can be 3, 4 or 5 days per week working from home or in the local office.

- Brings own business, media and government network - apolitical and non-partisan.
- Sustained business performance and government policy development experience.
- Preferably tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
