An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Administration Officer to join our Health Independence Program

Austin’s Health Independence Program (HIP) is funded by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services and is part of the Continuing Care Division. HIP provides multi-disciplinary services that support people with health problems and other complex conditions to optimise their function and self-management skills so that they can live independently and well in their homes and community.

The Health Independence Program encompasses many of the services that deliver health care to support the transition from hospital to home. These services can also prevent the need for a hospital presentation or stay, with people able to access these services directly from the community.

At Austin, the Health Independence Program encompasses the following services which aim to provide integrated and coordinated care that responds to the client’s needs and goals.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include:

The primary objective of this role is to provide professional, customer-focused and efficient running of the Health Independence Program (HIP) Specialist Clinics - Pain Services at the Health & Rehabilitation Centre, Repatriation Hospital - Austin Health.

**To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include**:
Work together within the HIP Specialist Services Pain team - in terms of:

- Booking appointments, preparing, maintaining and discharging of clients
- Ensure that all clinical appointments are filled where possible, this includes last minute cancellations
- Entering of client's statistics
- Operate the Pain clinics at the front desk - HRC, on clinic days
- Undertake duties of the HIP Specialist Clinic - Pain, as required
- Maintain and oversee relevant files & records and undertake data entry as required by the Specialist Clinic - Pain
- Liaise and consult with other areas of the hospital and agencies such as Interpreters and DVA/Veteran's bookings any other support services required for the client
- Assist with audits - client databases, client lists and other audits as they arise
