**Description**:
Primary Purpose
The Communications and Marketing Officer is instrumental in the continuing growth of Argyle Housing by supporting the Communications & Marketing Manager in implementing the Marketing and Communications strategy, coordinating the preparation of marketing opportunities through supporting colleagues within the business with duties covering event management, coordinating digital communications, and social media.
The successful applicant will have a high level of communication, organisational and time management skills, showing initiative along with an aptitude for creative and innovative thinking.
The Communications and Marketing Officer will work as part of the CEO Team and provide the following services:
- Support the CEO, Marketing and Communications Manager and CEO Team to ensure Argyle Housing’s success by contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Contribute to the development of the Communications and Marketing Strategy.
- Assist in the creation of marketing campaigns that encompass the appropriate mix of media, public relations, marketing tools and techniques to present news and information for a positive image of the organisation.
- Write and publish content for the Argyle Housing website and social media channels.
**Skills and Experiences**:
Selection Criteria/Essential Skills - To ensure success in this position, you must have:
- 4+ years in Marketing and Communications roles,
- Degree or Certificate III in Business Administration, Media, Marketing, Public Relations, or equivalent
- Digital marketing experience
- Proven work experience in the Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google My Business, Twitter, LinkedIn, Microsoft Teams and others.
- Website development and Adobe suite experience encouraged, or equivalent skills in other graphic software.
- Sound understanding of social and community issues impacting on social and affordable housing clients.
- Sensitivity and understanding of cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Customer focused and ability to work with diverse clients.
- Ability to work under pressure.
