**Description**:
Primary Purpose
The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for coordinating all Client Engagement and Participation activities within the NSW Housing Services Teams. The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for ensuring that there is a coordinated plan in place for each client Services Team based in NSW. This will provide guidance for the Client Services Team to address the responsibilities for Argyle Housing under the National Community Housing Standards.
All roles within Argyle Housing are to be performed under the principle of “One Argyle” and with a commitment to client service delivery fostering the approach of ‘no wrong door’.
**This role will be responsible for**:
Ensure all clients/residents are provided appropriate opportunities to be involved in planning and delivering customer services
Develop an annual Client Engagement Plan/Strategy in consultation with each NSW Tenancy Team
Participate and contribute to the development of business plans and work plans to ensure relevant programs, strategies and goals are achieved; ensuring Argyle Housing remains a Tier 1 organisation.
Collaborate with other departments to assisting in ensuring all regulatory and performance goals are understood and met (including but not limited to rental arrears, vacancy turnaround times)
Ensure open and transparent communication with local Argyle Housing Teams to ensure strong local input and engagement on the development and implementation of their local Client Engagement Plan/Strategy
**Skills and Experiences**:
Selection Criteria/Essential Skills - To ensure success in this position, you must have
Relevant industry experience - Community Housing
Demonstrated experience in undertaking Client Participation and Engagement Activities
Experience in MRI or similar housing database and Outlook
Demonstrated knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 (NSW)
Sound written and verbal communication skills, particularly in the area of funding submissions and action plans
Detail oriented with good time management and organisational skills.
Possesses excellent problem solving, trouble shooting and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients & colleagues at all levels.
Current driver’s licence
