**About the role and where you will be working**:
This position is a paid fixed-term part time position responsible for coordinating the No One Dies Alone Volunteers who are recruited to service the need to the NODA program within Southern Cross Care WA.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Familiarize with the policy, procedures, and related documents of the NODA program.
- Meet the deadlines associated with the grant that helps to fund the program.
- Familiarize with the technology needed to run the NODA program and assist with the training of the NODA volunteers.
- Maintain the records of the volunteers, securely and in terms of the Privacy Policy.
- Relate to the relevant staff at the residential sites, respectfully and accurately, to receive and monitor the requests for NODA volunteers when the resident(s) is deemed by the clinical staff to be end-stage palliative. This includes reviewing the requests before activating the NODA companionship.
- Post and monitor the shifts of the NODA volunteers.
- Follow up with NODA volunteers, appropriately, after shifts to ensure the well-being of the volunteers.
- Assist the Administrative Officer (Volunteer Services) with other volunteer-related tasks during periods of the week when the NODA load is mínimal.
- Provide the necessary statistical returns required by the Head of Pastoral Care & Volunteer Services.
**To be successful for the role you will have**:
- Skills in empathy, sensitivity and patience when working with residents and volunteers.
- Ability to respect the right of residents to confidentiality and privacy.
- Ability to work within the program requirements of SCC (WA).
- Ability to work harmoniously with people from a diverse range of social, economic, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
- Interpersonal skills that facilitate harmony and working together
- To be organized and able to manage changing requirements and multiple scheduling needs.
