About the Role

Service Stream’s Corporate Services division is looking for a General Manager to lead the Operations side of our Business Services function. The role is responsible for managing Service Stream’s centralised group functions of property, fleet and supply chain (warehouse logistics). The primary accountability of this role is to ensure the delivery of these service functions across the business. You will also be responsible for the realisation of synergies and business integration arising from the acquisition of Lendlease Services, driving a strong value-add but cost-conscious culture and continuous improvement.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Collins Street, Melbourne VIC

Reporting Line: Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of fleet, property and supply chain (warehouse logistics) services across Service Stream
- Property
- Manage the Group’s Property function of ~70 sites, including leasing arrangements & facilities management services
- Strategically manage the Group’s premises footprint to support client deliverables and future growth
- End to end facilities management - site procurement, landlord negotiation/management, site mobilisation, site fit-outs / make-good
- Fleet
- Manage the Group’s fleet function to of ~3 500 units (light/heavy vehicles, yellow goods)
- Partnering with business to ensure fleet is aligned to business outcomes
- End to end management - business requirements, procurement/suppliers, day to day requirements, end of life
- Strategically manage fleet requirements including refresh programs and assessment of strategic insourcing opportunities
- Supply Chain
- End to end supply chain support across S&OP, materials replenishment, inventory management, and warehouse operations across 12 facilities
- Working with the business units to determine further group centralisation opportunities to deliver enhanced operational support and cost savings

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive senior management experience in leading business functions with strong focus on service delivery and continuous improvement across multiple operations. In addition, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

- Demonstrated experience in either fleet or property functions - experience in both is advantageous
- Exposure to supply chain disciplines is desired
- Demonstrated track record in leading large, high functioning teams
- Strong project and change management experience
- Accountability for cost and project delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Project Management discipline are highly regarded
