At Proximity, the role of a Project Support Officer sits within our Project Management and Performance practice group and therefore can be broad in nature, so perfect for those who have diverse experience within this space and are seeking professional variety moving forward.

Your role will be to help Defence clients achieve their organisational vision through the successful delivery of their strategic projects with a user-centric, consistent and adaptable set of skills, tools and processes, and the development of a useable set of project management artefacts that support project delivery while being simple to use. You will support client project management skill development by using your expertise across multiple project management methodologies to adapt solutions that meet specific client needs.

Prior experience working within or with a Federal Government department in a Project Management team will see you excel in this role. This position is based in our Canberra office, where you will be a key team member delivering expertise to predominantly government departments.

- Microsoft office 365 Suite - With high-level proficiencies in Excel

**What you will achieve in this position**

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Project Support Officer who shares our values and vision and has skills and key attributes in the following key areas; you don’t need to have experience in all of these areas, we love people who are eager to grow and learn, to build on your prior experience:

- Strengthen and build on your project management technical capabilities, with the willingness to complete further Project Management courses, if required
- Providing support and coordination of activities, enabling outcomes to be achieved through the management of Government projects
- Maintain a strategic outlook and environmental scanning to inform the design and implementation of the project
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and very high-level professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of different people
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, including the ability to set priorities and work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to work independently, and as part of a team
