**The Position**

**St John of God**
**Ballarat Hospital** is one of Victoria’s premier regional private hospitals providing an extensive range of health care services. The hospital has a huge range of facilities and services to make patients stay with the hospital as comfortable as possible.
- The hospital has an exciting leadership opportunity for a capable and efficient
- **Manager Hotel Services **to manage the delivery of hotel services through the effective leadership, direction and management of the cleaning, catering and linen services.
- Hospital based experience, an understanding of cook and chill principles and/or previous experience in successfully organizing and managing functions will be viewed favourably_.
- This position is offered on a permanent full time basis working 76 hours per fortnight.
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Demonstrates previous experience and effective performance in a managerial role, in a relevant environment.
- Demonstrates environmental services experience in the Health Care industry, preferably within a hospital setting.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Demonstrates previous experience in food safety programs and HACCP principles.
- Demonstrates sound problem solving skills.
- Demonstrates the interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with people in a variety of situations.
- Demonstrates capacity to “multi-task”, to deal with competing demands and timelines.
- Sound financial management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
