**Job Description**:
As a SGS EHS representative in Newcastle you will:
- Provide high quality support and assistance to EHS clients and receive and dispatch samples and deliveries to and from clients and couriers.
- Subject to availability and as directed, establish communication, meet and build and maintain professional relationships with both existing and potential clients. Maintain records of client liaison, meetings and related activities. Communicate market requirements, developments and trends discussed with clients to EHS management.
- Proactively communicate directly with clients regarding any sample, result status, records, turnaround, or laboratory issue that is likely to impact on service delivery, and act as the client’s representative within SGS.
- Sort and identify samples on receipt, and complete and record all required sample receipt checks, including sub-sampling, labelling, storing and/or timely repacking of samples for dispatch as necessary.
- Maintain appropriate stocks of sample containers, sampling media and all necessary consumables and ensure continuity of service and delivery to clients within requested time frames.
- Drive to client sites to pick up samples, and/or carry out sampling according to approved procedures when required. Accurately complete sampling and site records.
**Qualifications**:
- Scientific qualifications (Diploma or Tertiary) or at least 2 years relevant experience.
- Commercial environmental laboratory and client services experience preferred.
- Hold or able to obtain required certifications and work permits (eg white card, MSIC card)
- Physically capable of sample handling (to 10-15kg) and working on feet for extended periods.
- Current drivers licence and good driving record
- Willingness to undergo AFP checks
