As a scheduler, you will be accountable program scheduling in the delivery of large Projects within the Program of Work. You will identify in detail, activities, tasks, dependencies, milestones and report across various projects. You will regularly engage with PMO team resources, Project Co-ordinators, other schedulers, Subject Matter Experts and other Telstra staff across Telstra Enterprise & Government.
You will develop and implements schedules that form part of an overarching master schedule related to initiative streams to ensure appropriate progress tracking of specific scope, benefits and objectives. The scope of works has both Agile or Waterfall methodologies where Agile is utilised at the working level and rolled up into a schedule. You must be driven towards delivery to the customers goals to promote customer advocacy and in doing so aid the establishment of profitable growth for Telstra.
**Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to**:
- Identifying the root cause of project overruns to develop and drive an action plan to minimise/eliminate the re-occurrence of identified causes.
- Timely reporting of all project schedules including governance reporting for project control boards, program steering groups and for portfolio management.
- Understanding of the operational process that will provide delivery to the customer in a timely fashion.
- Ability to support and drive change
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Project Managers to continually monitor and update relevant schedules to ensure they are maintained, agreed milestones are met and resources are utilised effectively.
- Ensure the Master Schedule for each program / project is maintained.
- Prepare standardised project status reports, and assists in validating and tracking project delivery activities
**Enough about us, let's talk about you. To hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following**:
- Hold a minimum of AGSVA Baseline security clearance.
- Experience gained in the project management space and demonstrable evidence managing complex projects
- Experience in Project Planning, Scheduling and Reporting roles
- Exprience in Enterprise Project Scheduling Tools and Applications - MS Project preferred
- Experience in using PowerBI to generate insights and analyses - preferred
- Analytical skills, attention to detail/accuracy and problem-solving skills Demonstrated experience in a Professional Services environment
- Experience managing difficult stakeholders of various seniority
- Experience using MS project for Scheduling
- Tertiary qualified (degree) mandatory
- Project Management Professional (PMP certified) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent (e.g. Prince II) is advantageous
