We are seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to manage and coordinate scheduling activities across a large, fast-paced portfolio of work. This is a critical role that requires exceptional organisational capabilities, advanced scheduling expertise, and the ability to engage confidently with executive-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise master schedules across multiple concurrent projects within a large portfolio
  • Coordinate scheduling activities across various workstreams, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives and deadlines
  • Identify critical path activities, dependencies, and potential scheduling conflicts, proactively implementing mitigation strategies
  • Conduct regular schedule analysis and produce comprehensive reports on progress, risks, and forecasting
  • Facilitate scheduling meetings and workshops with project teams and stakeholders
  • Liaise directly with executive-level stakeholders, providing clear, concise updates on schedule performance and risks
  • Ensure scheduling practices comply with industry standards and organisational methodologies
  • Support resource planning and allocation activities in coordination with project managers
  • Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes and tools

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Master Scheduler managing large portfolios of work in fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with executive-level stakeholders, with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of critical path methodology, resource levelling, and schedule risk analysis
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Desirable Skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (PMI-SP, Prince2, or similar)
  • Experience in [specific industry - construction/infrastructure/resources/technology]
