**About the role**:
The Medical Advisory Unit (MAU) provides expert occupational health services and advice to support the operational and recruitment activities of Victoria Police. The core business of MAU is:
- Conducting pre-employment medical and psychological assessments for police recruits, PSOs and PCOs.
- Direction to Attend the Police Medical Officer to assess members' fitness for duty.
- Drug and Alcohol Workplace testing of Victoria Police members.
- Specialist Group Medicals as per statutory requirements.
- Medical Advice Line - 24/7 service that advises and supports members potentially exposed to blood borne viruses and other infectious diseases.

Experience / Seeking Experience / Understanding of
- Ability to provide professional medical administration and customer service
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and understanding of requirements to work effectively in sensitive situations.
- Ability to prioritise and produce accurate work within agreed deadlines operating under mínimal supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate and efficient office systems and records
- Keyboard and computing skills
- An understanding of the customer service in a medical environment
**Position Duties**:
- Provide high quality administrative and management support to the Division including efficient preparation and management of manual and computerised records.
- Assist with the organisation of appointments, meetings, referrals and reports to support the provision of clinical services.
- Complete correspondence, keyboard tasks, document movement and file security.
- Respond to requests for assistance or information from both internal and external clients in a professional and confidential manner in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
- May be required to undertake other duties, such as finance support tasks.
**Requirements and relevant information**:
- One (1) x Full time - fixed term position (2 years) available.
- Salary range will be $56,271 - $72,262.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
