A highly successful civil contractor specialising in large landfill earthworks projects seeking an adept Logistics Manager to take control of the transport of material between site and quarry including earth and rock.

**Responsibilities**:
Supply Chain Management:
Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to optimize the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment for construction projects.

Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing, transportation, and delivery of construction materials to project sites.

Inventory Control:

- Manage inventory levels and track materials usage on construction sites.
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Vendor Management:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements to ensure favorable terms for the company.

Transportation Coordination:

- Oversee the transportation of construction materials and equipment to and from project sites.
- Optimize logistics processes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in logistics management within the civil construction industry managing quarry materials earth and rock.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance in the construction and logistics sectors.
- Proficient in the use of logistics management software and tools.
