Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Revenue Management Support Officer on a contract for 2 x 6 months, from commencement.
**Position Overview**
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Complete activities as directed in support of the Department’s schedule of fees and charges and cost recovery model.
- Support team leaders with preparation and issuance of annual charge invoices.
- Complete payment receipt management activities as directed including assisting with receipting payments on a daily basis.
- Complete account management activities as directed including a range of financial processing functions such as preparing account credits and refunds.
- Complete debt management activities as directed including recording requests for payment by instalment plans and supporting team leaders to prepare to issue cancellations for non-payment of annual charges.
- Triage and respond to, standard and less complex internal and external stakeholder enquiries and identify issues for escalation.
- Investigate, resolve and respond to standard and less complex internal and external stakeholder enquiries and identify issues for escalation to team leaders.
- Issue monthly statements of account and complete system-based reconciliations.
- Contribute towards identifying and implementing business process and system improvements.
- Provide surge support during peak periods of workload in both the labour hire and revenue management streams.
- Actively develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute towards regular review of standard operating procedures to maintain relevance, efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide regular and relevant contributions to team meetings, section goals and broader organisational objectives by undertaking extracurricular projects and tasks as required.
**Mandatory requirements**:
- Demonstrated experience in a financial operations team, such as Accounts receivable or Accounts Payable function
- Demonstrated customer service experience and commitment to providing high-level responsive and professional support.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
**Desirable**:
- Experience in, and working knowledge of, Government’s financial management framework including debt management
**Eligibility Requirements**:
- Australian Citizenship is essential (this is a Department requirement)
