**Purpose**
This position forms part of the People, Culture and Safety (PC&S) team and partners with the business to deliver on
the objectives of facilitating a collaborative, safe, happy and fair workplace that maximises the potential of our people.
The Learning and Development Officer is responsible for the administration and coordination of our learning and
development programs and systems and works across the PC&S team, and for supporting the Learning and
Development specialist and Manager Organisational Development to enhance CHW’s learning culture and capability.
**Key Duties/Responsibilities**
- Coordinate the delivery of mandatory learning and development requirements across the organisation
ensuring effective (and automated) enrolment, record keeping processes and training registers.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for training, planning and delivery of the annual corporate
training calendar that will support CHW to achieve operational and compliance requirements.
- Partner with the Learning & Development Specialist to design, develop and implement training and
development programs in order to support CHW’s business goals, desired skills and behaviours.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the learning and development function.
- Support the effective implementation of CHW’s Graduate, Apprenticeship, Trainee, Intern framework as
required.
- Administer the CHW Learning Management system (ELMO) including training and performance
management modules.
- Coordinate the quarterly Corporate Induction Program, including ongoing enhancement to the program
based on stakeholder feedback
- Monitor CHW’s learning and development operating budgets and associated activities and work with the
Manager Organisational Development and L&D specialist, to develop the yearly budget.
- Work closely with the Learning and Development Specialist to evaluate training programs, systems and
materials, and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies in order to support CHW’s
business goals, desired skills and behaviours.
- Partner with managers to provide high quality advice and support for the development of people in teams.
- Contribute to the analysis and creation of reports highlighting learning and development activities and
initiatives (as required).
- Contribute to onboarding new employees, including liaising with them to ensure all relevant new starter
modules are received and completed.
- Be autonomous and self-motivated, and actively seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
- Other duties as directed.
