The purpose of the Acquisition and Engagement Coordinator is to bring new clients into IDS. This role is client centred, and stakeholder focussed, working predominantly to develop and maintain relationships with key external professionals and agencies to build referral pathways for clients. The customer focus of the role is two-fold:

- Working with professionals in external agencies likely to refer people with disabilities who have a NDIS, TAC or WorkCover support plan or are eligible for one
- Working with clients, Support Coordinators, social workers and the care team to gather all necessary information for Client Services to onboard them into IDS.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop a plan to engage with target audiences
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including formal supports, rehabilitation centres, hospital social workers, day centres, agencies, schools, Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators
- Networking and marketing for new clients with referral services and community events
- Assist marketing with the development of website landing pages, tools, collateral and promotion
- Provide information about IDS and NDIS to families, carers, community groups and community organisations
- Meet weekly KPIs for engagement activity, with a focus on referrals and conversion
- Help people in understanding the process to access NDIS
- Undertake a thorough screening process of prospective clients to determine their eligibility for our services
- Onboarding all new clients, including interview and suitability
- Empower clients in relation to understanding their rights and responsibilities at IDS and in NDIS.

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Victorian Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker orientation module
- Reliable motor vehicle
- Victorian driver’s licence
- Comprehensive car insurance.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years in a Disability Services capacity (e.g. Disability Support Worker, Local Area Coordinator, Support Coordinator)
- Proven ability to meet client service targets
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the broader community
- Commitment to achieve positive outcomes for clients
- Awareness of individual support plans from NDIS, TAC or WorkCover and the operation of disability support providers in a competitive market
- Capacity to develop rapport with a wide and diverse range of groups, and gain their confidence and commitment
- Demonstrated assessment, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and non-verbal)
- A self-starter with strong work ethics, and the ability to work independently out on the road
- Ability to contribute to service planning in a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge and understanding of quality improvement processes
- Awareness of Occupational Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, antidiscrimination, and antibullying.

Education
- Certificate IV Disability in Disability Support, or related tertiary qualification (desirable).

Desirable
- Customer service / sales experience
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.

Remuneration:
SCHADS Award Level 4 with bonuses for exceeding targets.
