- **About the Opportunity**

Fonterra are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst for our Australian-based operations. This is an amazing opportunity for a solution focussed Payroll professional to join a new, Australian-based Payroll function in this business critical and highly visible role. The Australian payroll landscape is considered complex as it covers most Australian states, 9 current EBAs including 24 hour shift work and approximately 1,600 employees nationally.Reporting to the Payroll Compliance & Project Lead, you will also work with the Australian Payroll Operations team to conduct detailed investigations into payroll discrepancies, ensure compliance with company policies, EBAs/Awards and legislation and support with escalated complex payroll matters that occur from time to time.You will also conduct detailed investigations into payroll issues, as well as performing remediation calculations and audits as they are raised or as requested by the Payroll Compliance & Project Lead from time to time.This role will also see you provide advice and guidance on payroll matters to internal teams, and process complex payroll processing tasks, including calculations, adjustments, and corrections.Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in ensuring Compliance by ensuring that payroll activities comply with legislative requirements.
- Complete remediation work and audits on matters including, but not limited to, rates of pay, leave accruals/balances, superannuation.
- Support recommendations to the business for resolving payroll issues and improving payroll processes.
- Prepare reports as requested by the business from time to time.
- Respond to payroll related queries raised by stakeholders.
- Assist the payroll processing team with issues or questions raised.
- Collaborate with the wider business to ensure they have the appropriate information for their activities.
- Support payroll related technical changes or projects including system implementations, updates, or process improvements.

This role will provide the successful applicant to join a newly formed team in a complex and high-performing, profitable business.Based at our Richmond office (free parking) this role will see you operating within a hybrid work model, with work-from-home (WFH) flexibility.
- **About You**

You already have payroll experience in Australian payroll and employment legislation and have a desire to bring your best into this space to create value.You appreciate the importance of smooth-running processes, consistent and quality results delivered by a motivated team.As the Payroll Analyst, you will have well versed knowledge in Australian payroll and employment legislation and have a desire to drive results and continuous improvements.- Critical to your success in this role will be your experience in performing remediation audits and the analysis of these audits._

You will also have:
- 3+ years Australian Payroll experience.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective client and team working relationships.
- Good excel and investigative skills.
- Knowledge of iChris, Kronos and of Australian payroll landscape.
