**Role Description/Criteria**

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Upholding all Child Safe mandates and directives.
- Being culturally sensitive to support a diverse range of students including those with EAL backgrounds, and/or are from an ATSI background.
- Assisting classroom teachers in the implementation of school programs.
- Assisting in the development of resources for learning.
- Provide assistance to students who require support as identified (cognitive, social-emotional, physical and/or sensory adjustments) through NCCD as directed by the class teacher or Learning Diversity Leader.
- Liaising with class teachers in the planning and implementation of Personal Learning Programs.
- Working in a one-to-one small group situation with students as directed by the class teacher.
- Being present and available during parts of break times to support students in outdoor activities.
- Supporting students with various extra-curricular activities.
- Any other duties as directed by the Principal.

**The successful applicants must have**:

- a current Working With Children check
- a current National Police Record Check
- a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
