**We are currently hiring **an experienced payroll and account officer, based in Melbourne, who can help our team in payroll and accounts management.**

**YOU ARE PERFECT FOR THIS ROLE IF**:

- You have tertiary financial qualifications in accounting and finance. A CA or CPA qualification would be an advantage but is not necessary.
- You have at least 4 years of experience working in similar roles, preferably in the not-for-profit environment.
- You have an in-depth knowledge of accounting processes and techniques and have experience working with systems such as MYOB
- You can work and adapt in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.
- Your attention to detail is sharp and you have a good understanding of financial reconciliation.
- You have an Australian citizenship or permanent residence status.

**WHAT THIS OPPORTUNITY WOULD MEAN TO YOU**:

- You will be working with an enthusiastic team, supporting the organisation’s management and project teams in delivering positive change to partner communities.
- You will contribute to the localisation of development in the Asia and Pacific region by strengthening the accounting procedures of our local teams, so that they can manage their own finances.
- You will work with our Asia-Pacific office staff to build harmonious financial relationships.
- You will have the chance to enhance accounting processes and procedures in an NGO setting and will work with various team to meet Live & Learn Vision and Mission.

**WHAT A DAY WORKING WITH US MIGHT INVOLVE**:

- Processing monthly payroll of the Live & Learn International Staff and answering all payroll related queries.
- Reconciling quarterly our BAS and Superannuation filing to ATO Ensuring that all withholding deductions are remitted to the correct office.
- Daily entering and matching payments from the bank feed, collecting relevant documents to attached to voucher and ensuring that all information are kept on the system and ready for audit.
- General Bookkeeping including monthly reconciliation of the bank and other important accounts.
- Support live & learns annual and internal audit by producing relevant documents and actively participating in audit discussions.
- Any other relevant task that can assign from time to time.
