Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the operations and staffing requirements including rostering, training and managing for the Delivery Authority's community engagement initiatives, including overseeing casual staff and the set up and maintenance of various virtual reality and augmented reality technologies and software platforms - comfortable with, basic fault finding with setting up and troubleshooting basic technology setups such as video loops, VR sets (training will be provided).
- Manage logistics for Cross River Rail's Education program, including school group excursion and incursion bookings, staffing and operational requirements, under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
- Create & deliver public programs including setting up information stands, guided tours, holiday activities, education programs and special events, functions and presentations across a variety of audiences from schools to ministerial staff. Report on events with numbers of attendees, insights, recommendations for improvement.
- Work in partnership with and support key Government and external agencies to coordinate and manage engagement initiatives as part of Cross River Rail's integrated community engagement program.
- Contribute to the safety culture of CRRDA by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all CRRDA WHS policies/procedures and guidelines relevant to the job.

**About You**:

- Experience in visitor service in the retail and/or hospitality sector, project management skills from inception to delivery of information programs, tours, activities, or special events and functions with audiences as broad as schools, general public, corporate and ministerial staff.
- Proven leadership skills in a comparable environment with successful experience supervising and motivating diverse team.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines, and keep colleagues and staff informed of progress and key milestones.
- Confidence and ability to learn to use and do basic fault finding with modern AV display technology including interactive touch screen displays and Virtual Reality.
- Experience of the above from within Government agency or Public Sector authority, including working knowledge of typical approval procedures, codes of conduct and other guidelines is advantageous.
- Must have or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check/Blue Card, Drivers Licence and have a capacity to work in a role that can be at times physically demanding.
