**Your new team**
The Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland is a statutory authority and is responsible for regulating the engineering profession in Queensland. It is guided by a purpose to protect the public and maintain confidence in the engineering profession by upholding and setting the standard of engineering.
It is responsible for regulating the profession through its values of integrity, professionalism, accountability, fairness, and independence.
You will lead a team of two, working closely with the Corporate Services Manager and reporting to the Registrar.
**Your new role**
Working effectively as a senior member of the team by communicating with influence and fostering productive working relationships, key to this role is your ability to develop and implement a strategic engagement plan for the Board.
Key duties include:
- Develop and deliver a strategic engagement plan to achieve organisational objectives
- Provide strategic advice regarding effective management of communication and stakeholder engagement issues and opportunities
- Actively participate in and contribute to the strategic activities of the Board
- Manage the development and execution of digital strategies and content including website redevelopment and management of social media
- Develop and drive internal communications and change management activity to drive cultural change, staff engagement and alignment to the Board’s strategic objectives
- Provide expert advice to the Registrar and the Board on strategies to address emerging media issues and optimise outcomes.

**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or public relations and/or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Effective interpersonal skills as evidenced by the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience developing and implementing print and digital marketing and communications strategies with the ability to analyse information, evaluate results and demonstrate a return on investment.
This role will suit someone with relevant experience in a regulatory body or professional services organisation. You are collaborative in approach and build relationships quickly while still being comfortable in working autonomously.
